We are six professional musicians passionate about medieval reenactment. We recreate music and costumes from the 13th to the 15th century. We perform at battle reenactments, historical picnics and private events.

The ensemble
The Medievals performs medieval music, faithfully recreating its sound. Songs, dances and instrumental pieces in their original languages are played on replica instruments from the 13th–15th centuries — for a castle, a camp or a feast.
Historical dress from the 13th to 15th centuries is sewn from iconography. The instruments are artisan replicas: vielles, gittern, lute, recorders, shawm, frame drums. For an organizer that means one picture: music, costume and instruments as a single whole.
Offer
A 13th–15th-century music concert with a presentation of the instruments — how they are built and where they come from — and an introduction to the history and meaning of the repertoire. Dance workshops from this period can also be led during the live performance.
We present the instruments at a dedicated stand, talk about their origin, demonstrate playing technique and give visitors the chance to try an instrument we choose.
Audience animation and traditional steps. A standalone workshop, or an addition to the concert.
Music for historical weddings, feasts, themed events, banquets and corporate events. Intimate, or with the full ensemble.
We perform at historical events: battle reenactments, knightly tournaments, fairs and archaeological festivals.

The album holds ten medieval compositions from the 12th to the 16th century: anonymous works and pieces still remembered by music history. Melodies from France, Italy and Sweden, plus a traditional Sephardic song. Vocal-instrumental forms dominate, with dances among them — music of courts, burgher homes and taverns, often secular and playful in text.
